GHS Students and Alumni Enjoy Homecoming Activites

Students at Galena High School got to show their school spirit by participating in various activities during Homecoming week, September 17-21, 2007. Monday students and faculty got to wear pajamas or sweats for the day. Tuesday everyone wore either crazy hair or their favorite hat. Wednesday "twins" could be seen around campus. Thursday everyone was hiding in their camouflage, and Friday was Blue and White day.
Students also participated in "bonfire" activities on Thursday
night.
Bonfire Classes competed against each other in
the Car Decorating contest, Scavenger Hunt, Football relay, Bucket
& Sponge Relay, and the Tug of War.
Friday evening festivities began at 6:00 with the opening of the Alumni tent. Alumni ate and signed up for door prizes that were handed out during the game. Thanks to the many businesses who donated door prizes for this occasion.
King Tyler Morton and Queen Kayla McGinnis were crowned before
the football game.
Football Homecoming Coronation 2007 The Bulldogs
overpowered the Erie Red Devils 21-15.
The Alumni golf tournament was on Saturday with several teams participating. Winners of each flight will be published as soon as they become available.
