Liberty Students Step Back in Time

Fourth graders at Liberty Elementary participated in an Ellis
Island Reenactment activity during the month of October.
Students stepped back in time to portray immigrants, doctors,
inspectors, and government officials. 
Ellis Island These were the people that the immigrants
actually encountered on their journey through Ellis Island.
Lady Liberty was even on hand to greet the students after
they took the official Oath of Citizenship of the United States.
This activity gave students the opportunity to take an active
part in such an interesting and important event of our country.
