Seven Brides for Seven Brothers

The Galena and Riverton drama students performed the musical, "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" at the Riverton High School Auditorium the weekend before Thanksgiving. The musical featured Keeley Hail as Milly and Andrew Weaver as Adam Pontipee. The
Pontipee brothers were played by Andrew Koucky, Brian Beyer, Nathan Spriggs, Trevor Albright, Blaise Feagan, and Jordan Adams. The brides included Ashton Titus, Whitney Wade, Kjersti McDonald, Samantha Gaines, Taiylour Reppart, and Taylor Brewer. Coltyn Seifert, Sam Parsons, Gary Gibson, Timothy Mirrell, Wes Hefley, and Lucky Koucky played the suitors. The townspeople, Ashley Campbell, Alisha Tackett, Kristal Aldis, Shawna Root, and Madison Price, rounded out the cast.
The musical was directed by Mrs. Bethany Lansaw, Galena-Riverton drama instructor, with musical direction by Mrs. Amber Green, Galena choir instructor. Behind the scenes help was given by Chris Ferguson, Samantha Ferguson, Katy Adams, Victoria Lee, Alisha Tackett, Kylie Huffman, Daniel Martin, and Jeremy Donahue.
Students at Galena and Riverton join forces each year to present a musical for the schools. The location of the musical alternates year to year and will be held at the Galena Performing Arts Center next year.
The crowd enjoyed an evening of entertainment presented by some very talented Galena and Riverton students.
