Outstanding Spring Alumni & Teacher Honored at GHS

The Galena High School Student Council honored an alumni and a teacher on Tuesday, February 5 between the girls and boys basketball games versus Colgan. Individuals were chosen for having a positive impact on the lives of past and present GHS students. Mr. Rick Ezell was honored as the Outstanding Alumni for the Spring semester. He has been the official Bulldog videographer over the past several years and has donated his time going to countless football, volleyball, and basketball games. Numerous athletes and coaches have benefited from his support over the years.
Mrs. Lori Simmons was honored as the Outstanding Teacher for the Spring semester. She has taught at GHS for the past eight years and currently teaches a Leadership Community Service class and is the library media specialist. Mrs. Simmons is also a sponsor for the Senior class, Student Council, and serves as the GHS chair for NCA and on the district Professional Development Committee.
The students of GHS would like to thank these two outstanding individuals for having a positive impact on our school and community.
