GHS Incentive Program

Galena High School implemented an Incentive Program during the 2006-07 school year. The program is based on student grades, absences/tardies, and discipline referrals. There are four levels of Bulldog incentive cards: gold, blue, silver, and white. Students who meet the criteria receive an incentive card the quarter following the one in which they met all the criteria. For example, a student who meets all the criteria during the first quarter will receive their card to use during the second quarter of the year. Students who meet the criteria during the fourth quarter receive their cards during the first quarter of the following year. Incoming freshman are not eligible to receive an incentive card until the 2nd quarter of their freshman year.
