GHS Band & Vocal Students Going To State

Galena High School band and vocal students attended the Regional Solo/Ensemble Contest on Saturday, April 12th at Pittsburg State University. Students who received a Superior or 1 rating at the Regional Contest are eligible for the State Solo/Ensemble Contest to be held on Saturday, April 26th in Gypsum, KS. Congratulations to the four GHS students who qualified for the state competition. The vocal trio of Kendra Dorris, Ashton Titus, and Whitney Wade will be competing at the state competition. Ashton and Whitney will also be competing in the Vocal solo section of the
competition. Ben Williams will be competing in the Instrumental solo section on the tuba. GHS Vocal Music Instructor is Mrs. Amber Green and Instrumental Music Instructor is Mr. Ray Streeter.
