GHS Baseball Team Headed to State Tourney

Congratulations to the GHS baseball team for winning their 3A Regional Tournament!!! The Bulldogs nipped the two time defending state champion Baxter Springs Lions by a score of 4-3 in the finals of the tournament at Riverton to earn a trip to the 3A State tournament. This marks the 2nd time in four years that Galena has advanced to the state tournament.
The Bulldogs will travel to Manhattan's Norvell Field for the state tournament held on Friday, May 23 and Saturday, May 24. State tournament brackets have not yet been posted, but will be available at the website listed below at a later date.
