Development Screenings to be Held in Galena
Development screenings for all children from birth to age 5 who may be in need of special education and related services in Cherokee County will be held Friday, August 26 in the afternoon at Spring Grove Primary School. Vision, hearing, speech, and developmental screenings will be conducted for these children at no cost. This free screening is sponsored by the Southeast Kansas Interlocal #637 and the local school district.
Appointments are necessary and can be scheduled by calling the following people:
Children ages birth to 2 - call Kristy Nelson 800-362-0390 ext. 1765
Children ages 3-5 - call Shandi Zwahlen at 620-429-3905 or Judy Miller at 783-5494.
The next developmental screening will be on Friday, September 2 in Columbus.
