Galena Music Students Spread Holiday Cheer

The Galena High School Choir and the Galena Middle School 6th grade Band performed Christmas songs for several area nursing homes prior to the Christmas break. Both groups spread holiday cheer at the Galena Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Galena's Emerald Pointe. They also traveled to the Quaker Hill Nursing Home in Lowell, as well as the Joplin Health and Rehabilitation Center.

The residents at each of the nursing homes enjoyed the opportunity to see the students, as well as listen to their musical performances. Both the GHS Choir and the 6th grade band are under the direction of Mr. Ray Streeter.
