GHS Athletes Earn CNC League Recognition for Fall Sports

Galena High School athletes that participated in Fall sports earned several CNC League awards following the completion of their seasons.  Matthew Oglesby took first place in the men's division of the CNC Cross Country meet and helped Galena to earn 2nd place overall in this league competition.  Other members of the team were Matt Adams, River Davis, Reagan Stanley, Colby House, Dylan Anderson, and Ethan Oglesby.  Gracie Qualls earned Honorable Mention CNC League recognition in volleyball for the 2017 season.

The GHS football team earned many CNC League awards for this season, including being the undefeated CNC League champions.  Coach Beau Sarwinski also earned the title of CNC Coach of the Year.  Individual CNC awards include:

1st Team

Trevor Little - Offensive & Defensive Line - unanimous pick for both

Drake Adams - Offensive Line - unanimous pick

Garrett Hall - Receiver & Defensive Back

J.C. Shelton - Quarterback

Michael Helton - Running Back

Joseph Helton - Linebacker

 

2nd Team

Austin Harshman - Offensive Line

Kooper Lawson - Running Back

Connor Adams - Defensive Line

Ethan Henson - Linebacker

 

Honorable Mention

Blake Booth - Offense

Weston Ward - Defense
