Fall Alumni & Teacher of the Semester Honored

The Galena High School Student Council recently honored two individuals who have made a positive impact on the lives of many past and present GHS students.  The Fall Outstanding Alumni is Mr. Larry Miller.  Mr. Miller was a member of the Class of 1972 and is a huge supporter of Galena Bulldog activities. He has served as a USD #499 Board Member for the past twenty-eight years, serving one year as Vice President.  He has helped to make the Galena school district one of the best districts in this area.

The Fall Outstanding Teacher is Mrs Paige Pate.  This is Mrs. Pate’s eleventh year teaching Spanish in both the Galena and Riverton school districts.  She taught one year prior to that in Washburn, Missouri.  She has helped countless students in her classes to embrace the Spanish culture.  Besides teaching, Mrs. Pate has also served as a volleyball and basketball coach for Riverton and is the Spanish Club sponsor for both districts.

The Outstanding Alumni and Outstanding Teacher awards are typically given out during each semester of the school year.  This presentation was made by  Koby Myers - STUCO Vice President.  Maddy Cole – Secretary, and Malorie Bogle – Utility Officer.
