Thanksgiving Food Drive a Huge Success
The Galena High School Student Council would like to send a big THANK YOU to all of the parents, faculty, community members, etc. that helped make our 2023 Thanksgiving Food Drive a huge success. STUCO was able to put together 60 food baskets for families of our Galena students this year. As part of the food drive, STUCO sponsored a competition between classes with the following classes coming out on top:
1st place - Ms. Jessica Shank's seminar - GHS - pizza party
2nd place - Mrs. Shawna Henson's 2nd grade class - Spring Grove - pizza party
3rd place - Ms. Katie Gipson's 5th grade class - Liberty - pop party
4th place - Mrs. Ashley Groves seminar - GHS - pop party
5th place - Mrs. Lisa Simmons 2nd grade class - Spring Grove - candy bar party
6th place - Ms. Madison Kirch's seminar - GHS - candy bar party
A special thank you to GHS alumni, U.S. Representative Jacob LaTurner, for providing all of the turkeys to go along with our food baskets!!!
