Fall Homecoming Scheduled for Friday, September 23rd
Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe 2022 Fall Homecoming is scheduled for Friday, September 23rd when the Galena Bulldog football team takes on the Columbus Titans. Various activities will take place across the district during the week, beginning with dress up Spirit Days:
Monday - PJ Day - Wear school appropriate pajamas
Tuesday - Twin Day - Find a friend or two and match your attire
Wednesday - College/Team Day - Wear attire from your favorite college/professional/Bulldog team
Thursday - Adam Sandler Day - Wear oversized shirts and shorts - no saggy britches please
Friday - Disco/Blue & White Day - wear your best disco attire or wear your Bulldog blue & white
Students from each of the classes - freshman, sophomore, junior, & senior - will be working on class floats from Monday through Thursday evening. The floats will be judged during the parade.
Friday will bring about many different activities, including the parade, a pep assembly, etc. Friday's schedule is:
1:15 – Homecoming Parade - begins at 3rd & Main & continues to Abbey Football Field
1:45 – Homecoming Pep Assembly
5:30 – Alumni Tent opens – for Galena High School Alumni only
6:40 – Homecoming Coronation
7:00 – Football game vs. Columbus
Halftime – Senior Night
9:30 – Homecoming Dance begins – approximate time
11:30 – Homecoming Dance ends
This year's Homecoming candidates are: Seniors Emma Smith & Xander Denton, Juniors Kaycee Rion & Zane Turner, Sophomores Kimree Brown & Hayden Qualls, and Freshmen Dakota Bennett & Maddux Moss.
Cost for the homecoming dance will be $5 for singles and $8 for couples. A backdrop will be available for students to take their own pictures. Music will be provided by DJ Moss.
Bulldog fans, especially Alumni, come out Friday night, enjoy some food, talk with some friends, & help cheer on your Galena Bulldogs!!!
