Welcome to the Galena Virtual School!

 
The Galena Virtual School (GVS) is a program within the Galena Unified School District that provides individuals a unique opportunity to earn high school credit and obtain a diploma online. The program is approved and accredited by the Kansas State Department of Education and the curriculum meets or exceeds the Kansas Standards. Our mission is to provide a safe environment while preparing students for success.

 

 

Galena Virtual School Provides

  • Self-paced courses that are available 24 hours a day throughout the school year
  • The ability for students to maintain a flexible schedule
  • Academic Support Staff access when school is in session
  • High School diploma upon meeting graduation requirements

 

 

Virtual Student Application Requirements

  • Kansas resident
  • Upcoming 9th – 12th graders or Adults
  • Technologically proficient
    Possess effective electronic communication and time management skills
  • Applications received and $25 fee paid (9th – 12th graders must also fill out an enrollment form)
