The Kansas State Board of Education voted October 10, 2023, to
grant USD 499 Galena the status of Accredited. This status is effective July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2028.
Regulations require each system (district) be assigned an accreditation status based upon the extent to which it has met the criteria established by the State Board of Education.
Receiving the “Accredited” status indicates that USD 499 Galena is effectively serving the needs of its students by demonstrating a focus on the success of each student.
