Basketball Homecoming Set for Friday, February 16

Homecoming candidates this year are Seniors Arysta Sturgis and Dakoda Sturgis, Juniors Abby Jordan and Laken Dannels, Sophomores Marlee Shoemaker and Trey Beerly, and Freshmen Katie Haney and Grant Abram. King and Queen Coronation will take place at halftime of the boys basketball game against the Columbus Titans.
Galena USD #499 students in all building will be participating in Spirit Week using the following days:
Monday - PJ Day
Tuesday - Decades Day
Wednesday - Duo Day - Mickey & Minny, Milk & Cookies, Travis & Taylor, etc.
Thursday - Everything But a Backpack Day - Sorry, no shopping carts at the high school level - GMS students must be able to fit their "backpacks" in their lockers
Friday - Blue & White Day
The Winter Wonderland themed Homecoming Dance will take place immediately following the end of the boys basketball game, beginning at approximately 9:30 and running through 11:30 PM. Cost to attend the dance will be $3 for singles and $5 for couples. Music will be provided by DJ Diana Moss and a picture backdrop will be available for students to take their own pictures.
