The Kansas State Board of Education voted to grant USD 499 Galena the status of Accredited. This status is effective August 15, 2026 and shall remain in effect until the Kansas State Board of Education votes to update your system’s accreditation status.
Regulations require each system (district) be assigned an accreditation status based upon the extent to which it has met the criteria established by the State Board of Education.
Receiving the “Accredited” status indicates that USD 499 Galena is effectively serving the needs of its students by demonstrating a focus on the success of each student.
